Why Visit Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Duoc & Ben Dinh)

Dug through iron-hard laterite clay using simple hand hoes and bamboo baskets, the three-level tunnel complex contained subterranean command bunkers, field hospitals, smokeless Hoang Cam kitchens, and concealed trapdoors.

What to See: Preserved underground command rooms, medical bunkers, and smokeless kitchen vents • Optional widened 20m, 40m, and 60m tunnel crawl sections with exit hatches • Steamed tapioca root with crushed peanut salt and hot pandan tea
Local Visitor Tips:
  • Ask your driver or guide for the Ben Duoc sector rather than Ben Dinh if traveling by road—Ben Duoc is far less crowded and surrounded by quiet rubber forest.
